I don't understand. I am not downloading music or video files or applications.. I am only downloading a jpg here or there.. certainly not Gigs worth of stuff. |

Disk Inventory X is a disk usage utility for Mac OS X 10.3 (and later). It shows the sizes of files and folders in a special graphical way called "treemaps". |

They essentially disappear... Its like ejecting a CD, one its ejected from the system, it is no longer available to you unless you insert the CD again (mount the disk image again). |

Are you accessing the DMGs while you are also trying to delete them? That would cause you to have no permission I think? |
