HSPA "C" services
Exetel's HSPA "C" plans are Pay As You Use plans, and have no included data allowance.
At levels above 1 gigabyte a month of usage, the downloads for these "C" plans are expensive (compared to Exetel's and other ISP's ADSL plans), and therefore they are not suitable for people who want large downloads. HSPA "C" plans are definitely NOT suitable for people who use P2P or who want to play low latency sensitive games.

For HSPA C1 and HSPA C3 plans...
All data up to 1GB each month, is charged at 1.5cents per mb ($15/GB)
All data in excess of 1GB each month, is charged at 2.5cents per mb ($25/GB)

For HSPA C2 plans...
All data is charged at 2.5cents per mb. ($25/GB)

HSPA "D" services
Exetel's HSPA "D" plans have an included monthly allowance of 5GB, after which data is charged at the following rates...
For excess data used between Mid-day and Midnight = 10 cents per MB
For excess data used between Midnight and Mid-day = 5 cents per MB

Each Exetel HSPA account includes...
A DID number (Direct Inwards Dial), so you can make and receive standard PSTN calls.(via VoIP)
A VoIP account with 10 cent untimed calls to Australian wire line numbers
20 email addresses in the form of – yourname@exemail.com.au
200 megabytes of hosted web space.
Static IP address. (with the ability to change it at any time if you wish to do so)
20 free 160 character SMS via broadband each month, with additional SMS at only 5 cents per SMS. (International 18 cents per SMS)
The ability to send faxes from your email accounts for 3 cents per fax. (up to 10 pages)

Availability:
This service is available nationwide.
The Exetel HSPA service is provided using the Optus Mobile data network.
Any decision to purchase this service should be based on a careful assessment of the coverage maps and the realisation that currently, 1500 mbps down is likely to be the maximum speed obtainable from this service in optimum locations at its currently deployed technology level.

To ensure there is suitable coverage in the place(s) you intend to use this service, and to do a preliminary check on whether your specific address can get an appropriate speed signal, you should enter your street name and suburb into the "Optus Network Coverage Locator" to see whether you should be able to get coverage using this service.

Setup is done by the user with email, forum and telephone assistance from Exetel.

Exetel's HSPA services require the use of an Optus supplied 'sim' plus a USB device to connect the 'sim' to the Exetel/Optus network.

With the HSPA C1 and D1 plans, Exetel provides both the 'sim' and the necessary USB modem for a once only charge of $195.

If you already have a suitable ‘modem’, then the HSPA C3 and D3 plans provide the sim only, for a once only charge of $25.(including delivery)

There is no contract for "HSPA C1" and "HSPA C3" plans...     They are provided on a month-by-month basis.

The C2 and D2 plans also include a sim and modem, however these plans require the user to enter into a 24mth contract.

Payment is by either Direct Debit to a nominated bank account or by VISA or MasterCard.

AMEX, personal and company cheques are not accepted.
