- Static IP is available for $4.99/month or $55/year.
- All Broadband2+ plans except the Option 1 plan have the option of either excess charges ($6 per gigabyte) or shaping (64kbps/64kbps when you exceed your monthly allowance).
- BPay payment is available, but only on 6 or 12 monthly pre-payments, or if you provide your DD or CC details to Westnet, and pay by BPAY before the due date.
- Maximum speeds for Broadband2+ are dependant on how far you live from the local telephone exchange, configuration and quality of your phone line, quality of your ADSL modem and line filter, the number and type of services being used in your neighbourhood, interference from outside sources, your computer’s hardware and software set up, and the configuration of any computer you are trying to access.
- Customer can receive speeds of up to 20Mbps.
- Westnet ensures latency sensitive applications such as online gaming, web browsing, e-mail and VOIP are not negatively impacted by peer to peer applications through the use of traffic prioritisation tools.

The Westnet Freezone includes numerous resources spanning Westnet's network including most of our MyWestnet site, the Westnet Download Vault, the 3FL site, on-demand TV, live sports fixtures, selected radio streaming, download sites and file mirrors and MyWestnet video. All Westnet Broadband ADSL and ADSL2+ members have premium speed access to the Westnet Freezone. Traffic from the Westnet Freezone is counted towards the quota of any Dialup plans, Satellite plans and the following ADSL plans; 256kbps Option 1 and Broadband2+ (ULL) Option 1.
